Funeral services for Margaret Eileen Marine, 65, Wilton, were held July 9, 1988 at St. Mary's Catholic church in Wilton with the Rev. Tom Reilman officiating. Mary Cole was the organist and Tom Burr was the vocalist. Burial was in the Muscatine Memorial Park cemetery.
Mrs. Marine died July 6 at her rural Wilton home.
The daughter of Walter J. and Inrz Cummingham White, she was born Jan. 30, 1923 in Muscatine county. She married Alvin Marine Aug. 16, 1943 in West Liberty. She was a member of St. Mary's church, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Atalissa camp of Royal Neighbors of America, the Wilton Progressive club, the Quad City African Violet Society and had been active in the Wilton Township 4-H clubs, serving as a leader for the past 15 years. She was also a homemaker.
Mrs. Marine is survived by her husband; a son, Larry, Wilton; a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Inez) Rathjen, Wilton; 7 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Joseph and Francis White, both of Muscatine and a sister, Mrs. Cleo (Marie Geraldine) Burr, West Liberty. She was preceded in death by her parents.
