Funeral services for Delia E. Weiss, 84, Iowa City and formerly of West Liberty, were held July 14, 1987 at Zion Lutheran church in Atalissa, with burial in Oak Ridge cemetery in West Liberty.

Mrs. Weiss died July 12 at Lutheran Homes in Muscatine after a short illness.

The daughter of F. W. and Alma Kuster Fuerst, she was born June 30, 1903 in Kewanee, Ill. She married Albert Weiss Jan. 28, 1925 in Kewanee, Ill. and the couple farmed in the Atalissa area until they moved to West Liberty in 1940.

Mrs. Weiss was a charter member of Our Redeemer Lutheran church in West Liberty, where she was organist for several years. She was a member of the A.L.C. and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by a brother, Marcus Fuerst, Kewanee, Ill.; 2 sisters, Elsie Wood and Margaret Kuster, both of Kewanee, Ill. and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985 and a sister.
