Amanda Squibb was born 29 Oct 1828 in Lewisbury, York, PA, to Eli and Sarah Holtz Squibb.

She married Josiah Walker Rummells, Sr, on 7 Apr 1905, in Dillsburg, York, PA, and came to Muscatine county in about 1880, settling in Nichols.
