Inez Gertrude Kline, 77, of Albia died of cancer Sunday at Monroe County Hospital there. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Winfield Funeral Home in Albia, with burial at Oakview Cemetery there.
Mrs. Kline was born in Iconium and had lived in Albia most of her life. She had worked for Hy-Vee and as a food demonstrator and was a member of First Christian church in Albia and the Quilting Guild of Monroe County. She enjoyed reading and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Ellsworth; two sons, Kenneth of Chariton and George of Des Moines; a daughter, Charlotte Sloan of Winnipeg, Canada; her mother, Gertrude Shehan of Albia; a brother John Shehan of Newton; two sisters, Irene Summers and Ellen Summers, both of Albia; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Albia Public Library.
