Page 11Lemuel F. Layson, Onawa Dies; Rites Will Be Thursday.
Onawa, Ia.— Special: Lemuel F. Layson, 58, a resident of Onawa for the last 32 years, died Monday at his home here after a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pearson funeral home. Rev. O. B. Anderson of Sioux City will officiate. Burial will be in the Onawa cemetery.
Mr. Layson was born October 9, 1889, at Cedar Rapids, Neb. He formerly was a maintenance engineer for the state highway commission in Monona county.
Surviving are the widow Minnie; a son, Myron of Burbank, Cal.; his mother, Mrs. Eliza Claridge, of Seattle; four brothers Robert Layson, of Hornick, and Del, Calvin and Early Layson, all of Seattle, and a sister, Mrs. Lewis Sawyer, also of Seattle.
