OLESON—FAULKES—At the home of Mr. Faulkes, three miles east of McIntire, on Wednesday, Nov. 8. 1899, Mr. John Oleson of Le Roy, Minn., and Miss Florence F'aulkes of McIntire, Rev. N.L. Packard of Riceville, officiating.
Mr. Oleson has been Station Agent of the St. Paul railway at Le Roy for some years and has the confidence of his employers and the esteem of his many friends. His brother is Agent at Calmar, and the family have long lived at Ionia, Chickasaw county, where the mother and a sister still reside.
Miss Florence Faulkes has recently been in attendance upon the State University at Madison, Wis. She is a lady of fine culture and beautiful character. Her father is a farmer of scholarly tastes and resides near McIntire.
The weding{sic} was a very pleasant affair, attended by the immediate friends who greatly enjoyed the elegant supper and the social features of the occasion. The bride was the recipient of some very choice presents.
After a wedding tour of some three week, they will settle down at LeRoy.
