Roy E. McClure eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. McClure and Miss Sadie Martin, daughter of Mr. James Martin, both of the East Liberty neighborhood, surprised their many friends on Wednesday of last week, October 15.

Just as day was breaking on the memorable date these young people accompanied by the mother of the groom and father of the bride, made their way towards Hamburg, snugly tucked away in an auto with Fred Rains at the wheel. In due time they arrived at the Methodist parsonage where the marriage vows were taken, the ceremony being performed by their old time friend, Rev. H. G. Parker, pastor at that place.

These young people do not need to be introduced to the public. Both were born and reared in Mills County, and received the benefits of our schools and churches. All who know them will join in extending congratulations, and in wishing for this worthy couple, the largest possible measure of success in life.
