David L. Hardman, 80, died Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, with burial at Iowa Veteran Cemetery in Van Meter. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.
David was born October 9, 1931, in Des Moines, to Charles and Anno Hardman. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. David was a truck driver for American Freight.
David is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Cheryl (Henry) Carpenter, Carol Metheny (Marty Miller), Debbie (Kelly) Venosky, Kathy (Mike) Enos, Vicki Hardman; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Eric.
