Owner Away, Fire Breaks Out
About an hour after W. H. Stipp, an M. & St. L. trainman, left his home, 500 Woodbury Street, at 3 o’clock this morning to go to his work, neighbors saw the interior of the house on fire. The alarm was turned in at 4 and the firemen found the house unoccupied. The fire caught in a closet under the stairway from an unknown cause and damaged the interior of the house and its contents to the extent of about $400 or $500. The flames were put out with the chemical apparatus. Miss Newbloom, of St. Paul, owns the property. She and the tenant have $500 insurance on the house and contents respectively.
