The smoke house on the E. L. Monohon, six miles south of the city, was burned to the ground Tuesday, along with a large quantity of smoked meats and other contents of the house. Mr. Monohon was engaged in smoking meats when the building took fire. The loss is estimated at between $300 and $350, and there is no insurance. The west side of the Monohon home was slightly damaged by being scorched.
