Born in Ross county, Ohio, in 1848, came to Marion county, Iowa, in 1854, and came to Clay township, April 5, 1865, and to Harvey, in spring of 1895. Prior to the latter date had always been a farmer but soon after coming to Harvey he established a dray line that he has successfully operated to this date.
On June 20th, 1914, he began to stock up a small building with notions, oils, axle grease and many other useful articles. Soon after he added a line of stoves, tin ware, etc.
He has recently added a line of flour and feed and is proprietor of the only feed mill in town and will grind your feed while you wait. Now, if you need anything in his line call and see him.
You will find his prices reasonable; and if you have produce to sell, chickens or hides, take them to Mr. Redding and get the highest market price. You will find he is willing and ready to wait upon you at all times.
