In a garden setting at Ridgefarm, Ill., the marriage of Garnet Ellis of Oskaloosa to Bruce A. Rodgers of Jackson, Tenn., took place at 6 o'clock Monday evening, August 3, 1936. The Wedding March from "Lohengrin" was played for the ceremony by Mrs. Gertrude Fisher, twin sister of the bride, who also sang "Because."
Mrs. Rodgers, who has been local Y.W.C.A. secretary here for the past year, is a graduate of William Penn college as well as Mr. Rodgers, who has been connected with the Y.M.C.A. in Jackson, Tenn. The couple left for a wedding trip visiting in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York, after which they will be at home in Monmouth, Ill., after September 1, where Mr. Rodgers will be connected with the Y.M. C. A. work. (source unknown, likely the Oskaloosa Herald).
