Miss Marabeth Barrows, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy R. Barrows, 717 C avenue east, and Walter L. Wymore, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Wymore, Sr., 615 north Seventh street, were united in marriage by Dr. George G. Bruce at the First Presbyterian church at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, August 9, 1936.
The bride is a graduate of the Oskaloosa high school and attended William Penn college. She has been a leader in girls' organizations in the city and for several seasons has served as counselor for the King's Daughters summer camp near Montrose. The bridegroom is a graduate of the local high school and is now in the employe [sic] of the Skelly Oil company of Oskaloosa. Following a week's wedding trip to Chicago, they will be at home at 717 C avenue east after August 16. (source unknown; likely Oskaloosa Herald)
