WHITE-SMITH
Before an altar of cut flowers and potted ferns in the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Smith at Rose Hill, their daughter, Miss Annabelle Smith, became the bride of Willard White, son of Mr. and Mrs. O.G. White of Villisca, at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 1941. Rev. Edgar L. Knight of the First Christian church performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a beige dress with apple red trim and a yellow jonquil corsage. She was attended by Miss Elsie Carmichael of Oskaloosa, who wore an aqua blue dress with a corsage of yellow jonquils and pink sweet peas. The bridegroom was attended by Robert Rusk of Villisca.
Martha Jane Smith, sister of the bride, sang "I Love You Truly," and Jean McFadden cousin of the bride, played Lohengrin's wedding march, and "I Love You Truly" during the ceremony.
Three course wedding dinner was served following the wedding was served following the wedding with Joyce Hedge, Dorothy Hedge and Joan Prather as waitresses, to 18 attendants including the bridegroom's parents, and the best man, of Villisica, as out-of-town guests.
Mrs. White was graduated from the Oskaloosa high school with the class of 1937 and has since been occupied as a stenographer.
Mr. White was graduated from the Villisca high school with the class of 1935 and is occupied as a farmer.
The couple will live near Villisca.
