The lounge of the First Christian church was the setting of the marriage of Miss Clara Ann Moore and Jack Snider, Sunday morning, July 28, 1940, at 7 o'clock. The Rev. Edgar L. Knight, read the single ring ceremony in the presence of fifty friends and relatives of the couple.
Preceding the ceremony Claire D. Gordon, accompanied by Miss Bernice Miller sang "O Promise Me."
The bride wore a costume of blue mesh with matching accessories and a corsage of tea rose gladioli and baby breath. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Hugh B. Comfort of Des Moines. Mrs. Comfort wore brown mesh with brown and white accessories. Her corsage was of pink rose buds and baby breath.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Fannie E. Moore of Oskaloosa. Since her graduation from Oskaloosa high school, she has been associated with Sears-Roebuck store.
Mr. Snider was attended by his brother-in-law, Robert Lee. He is the son of Mrs. J.D. Snider, 516 1/2 High avenue East. For several years he has been associated with Alsop's store where he now serves as floor manager.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to Denver, Colo., they will make their home at 516 1/2 High avenue East. (from likely the Oskaloosa Herald, July, 1940).
