Nov. 11, 1887, a three year-old daughter of Elmer Kennard, of Jamison, Clark county, fell into a pan of boiling water and was so badly scalded that she died in thirty-six hours. Word was telegraphed to her grandfather, G. J. Blair, and the body brought here for burial at Blair Chapel, on the 13th.
