Ivan E. Zeliadt, 58, of 3627 Indianola road, died Monday at Iowa Methodist Hospital. He suffered a stroke Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Zeliadt was owner and manager of the Zeliadt Dairy Equipment Co., 345 S. W. Seventh st., until about a year ago when he retired. He had farmed near Norwalk before moving to Des Moines in 1944.
Born at Earlham, he attended Earlham academy there. He was a member of the Izaak Walton league and of Friends Church.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian; four sons, Carl of Ames, Harold of Prole, and Raymond and Francis of Des Moines; one daughter, Mrs. Iris Mae Starkey, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Clifford Zeliadt, Chula Vista, Cal., and Ernest Zeliadt, Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Selma Anderson of Oakland, Cal., And Mrs. Clara Styles of Aurora, Ill., and 10 grandchildren.
A sister, Mrs. Helma Baker, St. Paul, Minn., died three weeks ago and a son, Lawrence, was killed in a midair collision in 1944.
The body is at Dahlstrom’s Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
