RITES TUESDAY FOR MCMAINS

Services for Marvin McMains, 33, of 2121 E. Twenty-eighth st., who was killed Friday night in a plane crash near Johnstown, Penn., will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Hamilton’s Funeral Home, with burial at Pardeeville, Wis.

Born at Lorimor, Mr. Mc Mains was graduated from Lorimor High School in 1941 and after service in the Navy during World War II attended the College of Mortuary Science, St. Louis, Mo.

He had lived in Des Moines eight years and was a mortician at Hamilton’s 5 ½ years.

He belonged to Eastgate Masonic Lodge and Modern Woodmen and was a member of Grant Park Christian Church.

Is survived by his wife, Amber; daughter Sharon, 11; two sisters, Mrs. Harriet James of Osceola and Mrs. Doris Wheeler of Macksburg, and four brothers, Arthur of Litchfield, Minn., Luther of Winterset, Richard of Lorimor, and Coker Salt Lake City, Utah.

Family members suggest any Memorial be made to Grant Park Christian Church.
