WINTERSET, Ia. Nov 3 – Mrs. J. R. Rogers, the wife of a wealthy farmer living twelve miles south of here, was seriously and perhaps fatally hurt in a runaway here yesterday. While holding a team in front of a store, and automobile frightened the animals and they became unmanageable. After running a few blocks the vehicle struck a stone throwing Mrs. Rogers to the pavement on her head. She was rendered unconscious, and internal injuries are feared. A deep gash was cut in her head and her hand hurt. She is elderly and her recovery is doubtful.
