John Abben, the son of Ben C. Abben, Sr., was married to Ora Christians in 1900. He purchased two hundred acres of land in Elgin Township of Lyon County in 1896, erected a set of buildings in 1909, and moved there in 1910. Their children were Ben J. (married Tena Christians); Mattie (Mrs. Harm Feeken); Jeannette (Mrs. Arthur Eeten); and Lorna (Mrs. Donald Voss.)
