Page 1Mrs. Rebecca R. Wright died at the home of her son, Herbert A. Wright at Clarence, Mo., March 11, where she had been spending the winter, and the body arrived in Morning Sun Friday morning, accompanied by her son. H.A. Wright and his wife and also her other son, Warren E. Wright of Guthrie Center, Iowa and was buried in Elmwood cemetery Saturday afternoon, the funeral services being conducted in the Presbyterian church by her pastor, Rev. A. E. Cameron.
Mrs. Wright was the widow of John R. Wright, to whom she was married in Indian, July 11, 1854 and came to Iowa shortly thereafter and with the exception of seven years living in Burlington and in Illinois, that has been her home during all these years. There were eight children born to Mr. and Mrs. Wright, of who but two above mentioned survive. Mr. Wright dying November 30, 1879.
Mrs. Wright was born March 30, 1835, and had she lived until March 30 she would have been eighty years old. She had been spending the winters with her son and her summers at her home in Morning Sun, and was planning to return to her old home to spend the summer months when her last sickness came upon her.
