Has Leg Broken.
W.H. Krahl, of Grandview, met with a serious accident yesterday while attending the public sale at Geo. Beik's place. There was a large crowd present and some steers which were being driven into the ring became frightened and broke away. Mr. Krahl was not in the crowd near the ring but was standing near the gate with his back toward the crowd. In the sudden break for freedom one of the steers rushed for the gate where Mr. Krahl was standing and in the mix-up he was knocked down and his leg broken above the ankle, both bones. He was hastily loaded into a sled and taken to his home in Grandview where the bones were set. It was a very unfortunate accident and an illustration of how easy it is for a man to get hurt. Mr. Krahl is about thirty years of age. We understand he intended to move to a farm near Letts in the near future, but this accident will likely lay him up for several weeks.
