Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Hawkins were the recipients of a pleasant surprise Monday evening in honor of their fourth wedding anniversary. While they were at supper at the C.C. Thomas home, friends took possession of their home, and when called there on a pretext concocted by the crowd, walked unsuspecting into the bunch of surprise artists. The evening was spent with cards and at a late hour a delicious grub-fest took place. Mrs. Hawkins was first presented with an egg yolk separator as a gift from the crowd and later, with the words, "maybe you'll like this better" was presented with a set of beautiful table spoons.
Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Raym. L. Davison, Mr. and Mrs. E.V. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Nelson and Mrs Rex Nyemaster.
