Grandview To Have New School

The special election at Grandview Saturday to determine whether or not a new school building should be built to accommodate the consolidated rural schools, carried by a majority of 182. The vote was 237 for and 55 against, the women voting 107 for and 16 against, and the men 137 for and 39 against.
The new building will be of brick 69 x 142, heated throughout by steam, ventilated by the most modern system, and will have water, toilets and sanitary drinking fountains on every floor.
The basement will contain the heating and ventilating plants, gymnasium (lower), coal and storage rooms. On the ground floor will be the manual training room with lumber storage room, wardrobes, lunch room, gymnasium (upper) and toilet rooms. On the second floor will be the eight grade rooms and the superintendent's office. On the upper floor will be the high school assembly room, three recitation rooms, agriculture and physics lecture room, together with laboratories, a cooking laboratory and sewing rooms.
