Miss Orpha Stephens and James E. McLaughlin were married Tuesday in Sigourney by Rev. Father Houser. They didn't say much to their firends about the matter, but quietly went up there, had the knot tied and came back today to receive the hearty congratulations of many well-wishing friends.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N.E. Stephens. She has grown to womanhood here and is one of our best young ladies. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. McLaughlin, and is a young man of excellent character and good habits. They both have many warm friends in this community who will join the REPUBLICAN in wishing them a long and happy married life.
