At the home of the bride one mile west of Grandview, was solemnized the marriage of Miss Edna Cross to Paul A. Derby, son of Mr. and Mrs. O.J. Derby, residing six miles southeast of Grandview, last evening at 7 o'clock. The impressive ring ceremony was used and was performed by the Rev. Edward R. Bartlett, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church in the presence of twenty relatives and close friends.
The country home was prettily decorated with pink and white carnations and ferns.
The couple was unattended, entering the spacious parlor to strains of a wedding march played by Mrs. E. R. Bartlett on the piano. Miss Cross was handsomely attired in a gown of white embroidered net over white messaline and carried a shower bouquet of bride's roses.
Following the ceremony the wedding party sat down to an elaborate four course wedding supper.
Mr. and Mrs. Derby will until Jan. 1st, make their home with the groom's parents, after which time they will occupy the William Lieberknecht farm, near Letts.
The Republican is glad to join with the many friends of the bride and groom in extending them best wishes.
