JAMES ROBERT ANDERSON
James Robert Anderson, 52, of Argyle, died Sun., Nov. 8, 1981 at 4:45 a.m. at home.
Born Nov. 24, 1928 at Fort Madison, he was the son of James E. and Mary Stribling Anderson.
He married Clara I. Davis on Aug. 11, 1956 at Keokuk. She preceded him in death.
He moved to Argyle from Keokuk in 1961 and had been employed by Sheller Globe at Keokuk. An Air Force veteran, he served in the Korean conflict.
Surviving are his mother, Mary Anderson Anthony of Montrose; three sons, Roy and Donald, both of Argyle, and Douglas of Fort Madison; one sister, Mrs. Gilbert (Betty) Westermeyer of Keokuk, and six grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his father, one sister and one granddaughter.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 1:30 p.m. in the Hofbauer Funeral Home at Donnellson. The Rev. James Fyfe officiated. Burial was in the Charleston cemetery.
