Clinton Stroud, son of S. A. Stroud, died Sunday at his home in Ottumwa, after a short illness with pneumonia. The funeral was held at the M. E. in Hedrick Monday at one church in Hedrick o'clock p. m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. D. C. Beyan. The interment was in the Brooks cemetery.
Paul Clinton Stroud was born in Hedrick, February 22, 1892, and was aged at the time of his death 18 years and five days. He resided here until about two years ago, when he moved with his parents, to Ottumwa, where his death occurred. He was a member of the Y. M. C. A., and would have graduated from the Ottumwa high school in 1911.
He was a first-class young man, and many friends in Hedrick and Ottumwa are in great sorrow over his early death,
He leaves his father, one sister and three brothers to mourn his loss. His mother died just one year ago.
