Hazel G. Jackson, 84, 1322 9th St., Moline, Ill., died Tuesday at Moline Public Hospital after an illness of several years.
A former local resident for more than 50 years, Mrs. Jackson was born Sept. 26, 1893 in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holmes. She was married to Henry A. Baker then to Ernest R. Banjay and later to George W. Jackson, all of whom are deceased.
Surviving are one son, Henry Baker of Moline, Leona Rusk of Libertyville, Edith E. Sheley of Carbon Cliff, Ill., Mrs. George Reighard of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Joe Shoemaker of Ottumwa and Helen Hatfield of Texarkana, Tex.; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; three bothers, Ray and Paul Holmes, both of Richland and Warnie Holmes of Fairfield.
Services will be Friday, 1 p.m., at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
