Thank you ever so much for taking the time to do this research. The plot thickens.Familysearch.org shows Thomas Head was Mary Ann Glynn Hardiman's second husband, M-1855 Ia. Her 1st husband died and was buried at sea 1854. She brought 3 (Hardiman) children to the marriage. Prior to that marriage, Thomas was married to Catherine Burk 4-1847. I would like to know if she died? Also, he married Nancy Glinn, but I don't know the date. Now,my ggfather was Martin Head (B1837,Ireland). He and three brothers traveled to Jones Co., Ia. from Ireland in about 1849 and took up residence with the Thomas Head family. We have always had the story of the 4 boys traveling thru New Orleans and up the river to Cascade-alone. When I ask one of my uncles, (94 & 98), if there were just 4 boys, he replied, oh no, I think there were about 10 kids. So I don't know if the much married Thomas was their father in Ireland and came to the States - the boys to come later, or what. Now, I think they were nephews, since they are not mentioned in the will. Martin Head married Bridget Curley in 1865 at Temple Hill. I am sorry to hear the records burned. Thank you for all your good works. Pat Head Maher
