SANDHOUSE AND CRANE

[In reference to Mrs. Sandhouse photo]

According to Imentzel 1 post, dated November 27, 2000 and edited on March 22, 2002,
Harmon Sandhouse, son of John and Elizabeth Schafer Sandhouse, is included in the "Portrait and Biographical Record of Dubuque, Jones and Clayton Counties, Iowa"; 1894, p. 348.

The information given, states Sandhouse was born October 28, 1829 in Hanover, Germany and sailed to New York in 1858. Soon afterward, he came to Jones County, Iowa. He then married Hannah Crane of Jones County and had five children:
• Adelbert Crane-farmer
• Jennie Crane [husband Frank Lubben]

of Baldwin, Jackson County, Iowa
• Harry Crane
• William Crane
• Cora Crane [still living with parents]

[I’m not sure if Alma Jesse Crane is a relation to the above family, but she graduated from the Olin High School in 1909 with two other students.
The subject of her oration was "The Night Brings Out the Stars."

I am not related but am posting this information for anyone who might be interested.
