Good afternoon Mary, Posts to the list and responses and their replies should be made to the list as well. I did receive your direct e-mail to me today but it was as vague as your original request. Plus, you added in another surname in your direct e-. That too, should have been a specific request sent to the Jones county list, not to me. If we must name a town, it's always best to include the county in our request. Red Oak Iowa means nothing to a volunteer who could help us in our research but lives in Washington state or Maine. A town name is not always relevant in a request anyway Mary. Primary census indexes are by state & county. Your Neil family is in 1880 Montgomery co. Dick
