To update. I have the Rogers' in the Federal Census' back to 1860. I have Richard, his older brother, James, I think, in the 1856 Jones County State Census. In the 1856 State Census, there also is listed a Sally, Age 50. This is the only census that I have found her in. I'm guessing that this was their mother (a widow) and that she died. I'm trying to confirm if this was the case and when Richard and Mary left Jones County. They are in the Fremont County census for 1880.
I am also trying to find the immigration date for Richard. They had only been in the county for 2 years in the 1856 census. I'm also trying to find any other Rogers siblings. The surname may also be spelled Rodgers. In the St. Martin's Catholic Church records, it's spelled both ways. Thanks so much for the information
