Missing brothers

GUILFORD, SPENCER

No one in the family has been able to find Henry H GUILFORD, born abt 1854, and his brother John W GUILFORD, born abt 1862, since they were listed in the 1870 Fairview Twp, Jones Co. Iowa census. John was 8, Henry was 16 and they were living with their windowed mother, Peninah SPENCER (P.A. on the census)GUILFORD. Both their father, Joseph GUILFORD and Peninah are buried in Langworthy Cemetery near Anamosa, Iowa
Some in the family think they went West, but nothing confirms this. Would sure like to know what happened to them. Any help would be appreciated.
