7 children: Atha, died at age 18; Margaret (Henry) Lorenzen of Cedar Rapids; Kate (Gerd) Ulferts of Wayne twp; Minnie (Herman) Brockhohn of Scotch Grove; Anna (Marion) Starry of Ann Arbor, Mich; John Krey of Monticello & Herman Krey of Cedar Rapids
** Wayne Zion books say they were married on Nov 20, 1889 & her name was Johanna Margaretha Schmidt; death date says Johanna Remmers Kray
