I partly answered my own questions but still hoping someone reading will know this family?

I was able to find that Lucien's parents were Joel C. Ellis and Mary (______). One database says Mary Hunt rather than Walcott so not sure but do note that the 1850 census shows Joel was born c.1815 in NH and Mary c.1816 in VT. Both are buried at the Evergreen cemetery in Morris, Grundy Co., IL. He died 1854 and she in 1900.

Just passing on what I find as I go... but maybe someone will know this family and Mary's maiden name as well as when and where they were married? The oldest child at home in the 1850 census was Orville M. Ellis who was born in 1835 in PA and died between 1910-1920 in KS.
