Carrie Houstman first married Clarence Blood. They lost a son named Clayton. Clayton is buried in the Merritt cemetery. Carrie remarried to J.A. Robins. They too lost a son named Joseph Jr, and he too is buried in the Merritt cemetery. J.A Sr died in 1902 and was buried in the Merritt cemetery. Carrie later remarried to a man named Albert Bushart. Al Bushart made his living building and repairing grain elevators in the northern mid-west states. At that time Al and Carrie were living in Minnesota. Carrie and Clarence Blood also had another son named Otis Blood who was killed in France in WW1, in 1915. After Clarence and Carrie split up Clarence later remarried to Grace Pearl Farnum. Clarence, Grace, and Otis are buried in the Shilo cemetery on Blairs Ferry road in Cedar Rapids. If you need to find their graves they are close to the center of the cemetery, just on the right of the drive going in the cemetery. I have photos of all the graves previously mentioned in this email. Carrie died on 11/30/1961 and is buried in the Union Cemetery in Mandan, ND. I am not sure where Al Bushart is buried but I think it is in Minnesota. According to Carrie's obituary Al died in 1945. Hope this helps.
