I saw your post and wondered what your relationship to Sadie (Snyder) Starks was. I'm just new to geneaology and am looking into information on my great-grandmother, Anna (or Annie) Snyder.

Anna Snyder had a son, Bert Dewitt who was born June 1, 1885 in Monticello, Iowa. She later married Joseph Snyder, and from what I could find, had a son, Roy, and daughter Sadie. Bert was adopted by John Shover (not sure of the year). Bert married Mary Tennie Norris and they had 8 children - one of which is Rollie Norris Shover who is my father.

I have an old photograph that I suspect is Bert, Roy and Sadie. If you are interested, I would e-mail it to you.

In the 1925 census it lists Sadie I Starks as age 25. I don't know if you've access this information, but I'll include the link.
