Funeral services for Lance L. DeWoody, 22, North Liberty, a former resident of Olin, were held at the United Methodist church, Olin, Aug. 16 with the Rev. Edward Petersen officiating. Burial was in the Olin cemetery. Pallbearers were Alan Saunders, Rodney Cozart, Todd Rouse, Coy Wagner, Allen Kimball and Robert Nissen. Honorary pallbearers were David Butterworth, John Bernatz, Kent Cooling and Philip Webb.

Mr. DeWoody, a resident of North Liberty, died at Coralville Aug. 12.

The son of Carl and Bernita (Bee) Houston DeWoody, he was born at Manchester Nov. 9, 1962. He graduated from Olin high school in 1981. He was active in band, vocal music and football. He was a member of the Olin United Methodist church.

He is survived by his parents and a sister, Mrs. Paul (Carrie) Fortin Jr., Olin.
