MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE

On the 27th day of June past Paul Fopp, who kept a general store in Monticello, disappeared, since which time nothing has been seen or heard, of him, he left no one in charge of his store, and left no clue by which his whereabouts may be known. His friends are apprehensive that he has been foully dealt somewhere. In no other way can they account for his continued absence. He for some years ago he tended bar for Peter Werten, and has many friends in this city who have endeavored to get some clue of his whereabouts, but without success.
