Patricia Lou Sanders, 88, long-time resident of Iowa City passed away at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

Patricia was born in Keota, Iowa, the daughter of Lee and Edna (Loeffler) Sanders. Patricia graduated and attended Oak Park Academy where she earned her associate’s degree. Patricia worked as an office manager, property management, and in sales. Patricia was particularly proud to have worked for the Police Department in Raytown, MO, and she enjoyed re-telling stories of her time there.

As an avid crafter, Patricia found herself busy with embroidering, sewing, quilting, and painting as much as possible. She also had a love for gardening and had found pleasure in her flower beds, vegetable gardens, and canning. Patricia also enjoyed reading her bible and was a faithful Christian. Above all Patricia was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Patricia’s family includes daughters, Tedi (Russell) Ingersoll of Mason City, Teri Sanders of Waverly, Traci Morrison of Pendleton, OR; son, Tim (Diane) Sanders of North Liberty; grandchildren: Tadd (Rachel) Ingersoll, Ashley Sanders, Erik Sanders, Nikki Sanders, Jonathon (Tiona) Morrison, Daniel Morrison, David Morrison, Wyatt Sanders, and Addison Sanders; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Leland Sanders; and extended relatives. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Timi Custer; son-in-law, William Morrison.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
