Greta Robin, 96, passed away peacefully in her home in Rockville, MD, on September 17, 2024. She led a life as a devoted and loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. All who knew her were touched by her unfailing warmth and graciousness. She volunteered for numerous organizations throughout her adult life. She was also an extraordinary baker with a gift of imbuing each baked good she produced with all of her warmth and grace.

Born in Des Moines, Iowa, she moved to Waterloo, Iowa, following her marriage to Herman Robin in 1949. There they raised three children—Sherry Berlin, Mark Robin, and Paul Robin (Lauren). Following the death of Herman Robin in 2009, she relocated to Maryland. She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She is also predeceased by her parents Harry Schlesinger and Polly Kurshevsky, and her brother, Sanford Schlesinger.

A graveside service will be held at the Agudas Achim Cemetery in Iowa City, Iowa, on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, her family suggests a charitable donation to Capital Caring, a hospice organization (capitalcaring.org) or to The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington (shalomdc.org).
