Bennie G. HOUSEAL, 55, native of Washington County, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the Jefferson County Hospital.
He had been in failing health the past year and seriously ill the past month.
Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 28, at 10:30 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Wilkin and the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Members of the family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would appreciate memorials to the Cancer Fund.
Bennie G. HOUSEAL was born June 27, 1919, in Washington County. He was the son of Paul and Mary LUKAVASKY HOUSEAL. He was reared and educated in Washington.
His marriage to Darlene MANNING took place Nov. 5, 1939, at Washington. HOUSEAL was a member of the Lutheran Church and K of P Lodge at Brighton.
A retired farmer, he operated the store at Germanville for five years. The family home in Fairfield is located at 504 N. Court.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Mrs. Cedra KAUFMAN, Olds, and Gary HOUSEAL, Brighton; five grandchildren; one brother, Berlin HOUSEAL, Hot Springs, S.D.; three sisters, Pearl HOUSEAL, Ainsworth; Mrs. Forrest BROCK, Washington; and Mrs. W.A. NORENBERG, Riverside. He was preceded in death by his parents.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gittler, nurses, and hospital staff for their excellent care and kindness and Rev. Hickman and Pastor Wilken for their prayers and services. Also friends and relatives who remembered us with food, flowers, cards and other expressions of sympathy following the death of our husband and father. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
