Randy Joe Perry, 65, of Pella, Iowa, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Kavanagh Hospice House in Des Moines. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care in Baxter. A private family burial will be held at a later date in Union Chapel Cemetery in Mingo, Iowa.
Randy was born on July 8, 1959, to Lester and Helen (Plumb) Perry in Newton, Iowa. He grew up in Baxter where he attended school and graduated with the class of 1977. He married Karen Lindquist and to this union a son was born. The couple later divorced. Over the years Randy lived in Des Moines and worked for Townsend Industries. He also lived in Ankeny and worked as a realtor and at PDI in Newton. For the last eight years he lived in Pella and worked for Pella Corporation. Randy enjoyed operating a printing company out of his home.
He loved spending time with his family. Most especially going to his grandchildren’s sporting events. Randy also enjoyed day trading stocks.
Those left to cherish his loving memory are his son Matthew (Jessica) Perry of Ankeny, IA; grandchildren Jace, Jayden, and Jaxton Perry of Ankeny, IA; sister Connie Weidemann of Ankeny, IA; brother Rich (Janie) Perry of Baxter, IA; sister-in-law Penny Perry of Miami, FL; special friend Rebecca Dowell of Knoxville, IA; many nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Oscar and Laura (Hennaman) Perry and Perry and Clara (Plumb) Sumpter, brothers Don Perry and Phillip Perry, and brother-in-law Bill Weidemann.
Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care has been entrusted with the care of Randy and his family.
