Lizzie M. Rhodes, adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Rhodes died at their home in west Colfax at 20 minutes to four Thursday afternoon, of consumption, after a long and tedious illness. The deceased was aged 22 years, 10 months and 29 days. She had always been a good Christian girl and the comfort and joy of her adopted parents in their declining years. She bore her long illness with patience and Christian fortitude awaiting dissolution with a calmness that was remarkable. Mr. and Mrs. Rhodes have the sympathy of the community in their great loss.
The funeral will be held at the Presbyterian church, of which she was a member, at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Quickenden.
