She became a member of the Presbyterian church at the age of twenty-five in which faith she lived a long and useful life. She was the fond and affectionate mother of nine children, five of whom, two sons and three daughters survive to mourn the loss of a devoted mother. She died Feb. 22, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N. B. Pence, with whom she lived during the last nine years. Mother Watson was lovingly cared for by her affectionate daughter and family with whom she lived during her great affliction and suffering, which she bore most patiently even unto the end when she received her Father's call, "Come up higher." Funeral services at Buckhorn Reformed church, Tuesday, at 2 p.m. and the body was laid to rest by the side of her husband's in the cemetery by the church, Rev. D. F. Boomershine officiating.
