(Page 8 under the heading Bellevue)The body of John McCalley, who was drowned near Bellevue Wednesday morning, has not been located. Launces with their crews of men have been on the scene of accident since that time in an effort to locate the body, but have not been successful. Mr. McCalley was heavily dressed when drowned as he had on hip boots, leather jacket, sweater, overalls. He had been a river man all his life and was an expert swimmer. He was a commercial fisherman. The accident occurred Wednesday when he was assisting two companions whose launch was disabled. They entered his launch and he, noticing difficulty with their launch in tow, stepped back and lost his footing. He called for help but had gone down before the men reached him. Frantic efforts were made to rescue him but they were unsuccessful.
