Judee “Nana” Burmahl, 82, of Wyoming, Iowa, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Jones Regional Medical in Anamosa, from complications of injuries sustained in a fall.

Judee Ann Willman was born on December 13, 1942 in Anamosa, Iowa, to James and Naydene (Allen) Willman. She was a 1961 graduate of Midland Community High School. She met Robert “Bob” Burmahl in 1960 while roller skating at the open rink in Maquoketa. They were married on July 14, 1962 at First Lutheran Church in Mt. Carroll, Illinois.

Judee was a hard worker but had fun doing it. She worked at Rockwell Collins until she retired in 1998. She then waitressed at Ted's Swinging Door, and lastly Little Bear Country Club where she enjoyed socializing with all the golfers who came in.

Golfing was Judee's passion. She played a key role in the ladies golf league at Little Bear Country Club in Wyoming and the Three Rivers Tournaments. Judee looked forward to spending every Tuesday evening golfing with her best friends of many years, especially Patty, Debbie, Cyndi, Nancy, and Amy. She also loved to travel and go on fun trips with her family and friends. Whether it was a golf trip or their yearly trip to Florida to visit Jeff and Denise, she cherished the time they spent laughing and having fun together.

Judee especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Nana, as she was lovingly called, loved spoiling her family. You were never forgotten on your birthday, holidays, or just because days. She especially loved Christmas and made sure it was magical and extra special for those she loved. She was a giver. She gave her love and her time unconditionally to those who accepted it.

To know Judee was to love Judee. We knew what a gem she was and appreciated everything she did for us. To those of you who missed out on her love, you will never understand the void of her being gone.

She was our angel and a bright light in our lives. She will be greatly missed. Love you to the moon and back! Love you more, Nana!

She is survived by her husband Bob (who died three days later on February 17, 2025); children, Rusty (Peaches) Burmahl of Victor, IA, and Bobbie (Bob) Larson of Miltona, MN; grandchildren, Whitney (Brian) Barker and their daughter, Kora of Victor, IA, Chloe (Isaiah) Ehrenberger of Spring Lake, NC, Nikki (Chris) Rasmussen and their children Autumn and Hannah of Midland, TX, Jason (Theresa) Burmahl and their children Elise and Jace of Cedar Rapids, IA, Rebecca (Alex) Link and their daughter, Hadley of Dubuque, IA, and Brianna Burmahl of Monticello, IA; sisters, Carolyn Seeley of Manchester, IA, and Rhonda (Steve) Poppe of Lowden, IA, and sister-in-law Suzanne Willman of Wyoming, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Richard Burmahl, a grandchild Angela Grace Burmahl, siblings Allen Willman, Janet (Don) Bechtold; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Alverda (Hinke) Burmahl, in-laws, Margaret (Ken) Davison, Arla (Bob) Edwards, George (Thais Grosskruger) Burmahl, Bonnie Harms, and Rich Seeley.
