Gregory Schrock, 82, of Tiffin, passed away at his residence with family by his side on October 20, 2024.

A celebration of life will be held from 3-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at The Eagle’s Club in Iowa City.

Greg was born on September 17, 1942 in Iowa City to Howard and Eleanor (King) Schrock. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1961. On August 3, 1968 he married the absolute love of his life, Linda Seydel in Sharon Center, Iowa and to this union, two children were born.

Greg worked as a welder and mechanic for Procter and Gamble for almost 32 years before retiring in 1997. In his spare time, he enjoyed welding, fabricating metal art, cooking, telling “dad jokes” and spending time with his family. Attending his granddaughters’ events was something that brought him great joy.

Greg enjoyed sipping on his whiskey and Diet Mountain. He loved his neighbors as well as their kids and always had treats handy for the dogs. He regularly enjoyed an active conversation with himself and was extremely proud of his bodily functions…especially the worse they smelled. Greg was also a Road to Recovery volunteer for the American Cancer Society, a member of the Eagle’s Club and volunteered with Table to Table.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children: Monte (Nicole) Schrock and Dana Conrad (Doug Burkhead); grandchildren: Delaney Conrad (Adam Borders), Ava Conrad, Ainsley Schrock (fiancé, Curtis McGovern) and Addyson Schrock; siblings: Linda Nelms, Gilbert (Deb) Schrock, Randy (Jennifer) Schrock, Barbara (Jim) Murphy and Kerilee (Doug) Gahring as well as his brother-in-law, Dennis Huedepohl and multiple brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Connie Huedepohl.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice or Pathways of Iowa City.
