ANOTHER IOWA MURDER
DAVENPORT, Ia. Feb. 27. – In Iowa County, on Friday, a fatal stabbing affair occurred. It seems that there was a neighborhood bee, hauling fencing for a farmer, who had furnished a couple of kegs of beer for refreshment for the party of teamsters, James Boyle had the beer in charge, and between him and Shannon arose some trouble, the latter having taken as much as was good for him, and being refused more by Mr. Boyle. Shannon, went away, and, returning, attached Boyle with a knife, cutting him across the abdomen in a dreadful manner, slashing open his bowels. Physicians were summoned but he died within a short time. Boyle leaves a wife and two children. Shannon has a wife and nine children. He has been arrested and in jail in Marengo.
